Edwards Sports have supplied and installed three ball stop / barrier systems at Arsenal FC’s training ground ready for the 2013 / 14 season.
These bespoke systems were specially designed to meet the requirements set by Arsenal FC’s groundsman Steve Braddock.
These requirements were:
- To supply and install a post & net system that can be erected and demounted frequently
- To divide big pitches up into smaller pitches for training
- To stop players / staff entering certain parts of the training ground
- To stop stray footballs going from one pitch to another
Two systems were supplied and installed on the youth and reserve team pitches. A third system was then later installed for the first team pitch after Arsene Wenger asked for a similar system.
The three systems comprised of:
- Steel ball stop posts powder coated green to take tensioned wires
- Steel ball stop posts c/w wooden spring loaded doors to gain access to the pitches
- Permanent ground sockets to accept steel posts
- Lightweight aluminium ball stop posts powder coated green to support wire
- Removable ground screw sockets to accept aluminium posts
- Green extra heavy duty ball stop netting c/w wire enclosed in PVC banding
- Ratchets to tension wire to ball stop posts
We would like to thank Arsenal FC for the order and their co-operation in letting Edwards Sports promote the job.
